Andrea Aime joins GeoSolutions!

GeoSolutions is pleased to announce that Andrea Aime is joining the company as Senior Software Engineer!

Andrea Aime has more than ten years of experience in GIS and enterprise Java software development as well long involvement in the open source community, first as a user and then as a core developer. Andrea’s main interests cross through cartographic quality map rendering, spatial data analysis, performance and scalability as well as GIS and programming teaching. He is currently involved as a core developer in both GeoTools and GeoServer projects.

This addition brings GeoSolutions’ knowledge and expertise to an unmatched level in the areas of:

  • Performance Optimizations
  • Raster Management, Processing and Visualization
  • Vector Management, Processing and Visualization
  • Enterprise Class GeoSpatial Deployments

Andrea Aime will help GeoSolutions to grow stronger and provide higher quality professional services for your geospatial projects. He will take the technical lead on future developments on the GeoServer and GeoTools platform, as well as on our commercial support plans, in which GeoServer and GeoTools are key components.
